Empowering Livelihoods: December Activities of Deal Foundation Across Gadag’s 7 Talukas

Deal Foundation is working in 7 talukas of Gadag district and details of the activities and events in the month of December: —

1) The following are the details of the formation of the Self-Help Society of the Handicapped and Women in the month of December.

In this month, a total of 11 self-help societies have been formed in Gadag, Mundaragi and Shirahatti taluk and have 107 members. 7 Women Self Help Society 67 members the purpose of this association is to help disabled members to get self-employment by taking loans from banks and doing dairy farming, sheep and goat rearing and many other activities.

1) In Naragunda Shirahatti Mundaragi taluks 2 Disability Self Help Sangha for total 20 members 5 Mahila Sangha for 50 members and Awareness Training for Disability Financial Training and Leadership training. Entrepreneurship training and sustainable livelihood training were conducted for members of the disabled group

5) Janani Mahila Self Help Society Mevundi Taluka Mundaragi and

6) Perpetual Mahila Self Help Society Mevundi Taluk Mundaragi

7) Shree Nandi Vikalchethanar Self Help Society Konnur Taluk Naragunda

3) A board meeting was held at the Safe Credit Cooperative Society at Mevundi village in Mundaragi taluk and the working activities of the society were discussed in the meeting.

4) Eco Samriddhi Farmers Producers Company Limited Mevundi Taluk Mundari and Sortur Integrated Horticulture Farmers Producers Company Sortur Ta/Gadag and Shirahatti.A meeting of the board of directors was held and a newspaper was sold for the farmers.

5) Preparation of earthworm manure in the tank of Deal Foundation organization and removal of manure and putting it in three acres of tank and sale of earthworm manure in exhibition and giving trainings on earthworm preparation to disabled families and self-help societies.

8) Deal Foundation has started a sewing training center for disabled families and women in Mevundi, this sewing training center has been running for four consecutive years. Deal-Foundation Mevundi -Tailoring Unit class

Here are the highlights for next month:

  • 10 new self-help groups including 100 persons with disabilities will be established.
  • Financial inclusion and bank linkage for 10 SHGs.
  • To impart capacity building and livelihood training to 20 groups.
  • To continue sewing training and garment making services at Mevundi.
  • Continuation of earthworm composting work
  • Farmer Producers Company Recruiting 250 new members (FPO work.)
  • Collaborative Work Distribution 50 Total collection work
  • To continue the activities of Aramba Self Employed Center (ASK Center) and to locate the office of Aramba Saudoga Kendra in Rona.
  • Conducting a preliminary meeting to register district cooperative work with other taluks except Mundaragi.
