During the month, new group bank accounts were opened for Udachammadevi and lakshmidevi Joint Liability Groups at Dambala and Mevundi villages respectively.

During the month, two groups, Amareshwara JLG from Eklasapur village and Sharmisavali JLG from Dambal village applied for a group bank loan.

Exploring Livelihood Opportunities
Annapoorna, a member of Amreshwara JLG at Eklasapur is now involved in tailoring which helps her and her family lead a sustainable life.
Chitra, a member of Joint Liability Group in Tambragundi village in Gadag is now involved in tailoring after completing her ‘Livelihood Training’ at DEAL Foundation.
Reshma from Harogeri village in Gadag has started a provision store as a means of livelihood after completing her ‘Livelihoods Training’ with DEAL Foundation.
Shankaramma from Doni village in Gadag has started her own home decoration items business.
Mannavva from Eklasapur village in Gadag is involved in goat rearing as a means of livelihood after successfully completing her livelihood training with DEAL Foundation.
Despite facing several challenges, Kamalavva from Mevundi village in Gadag hasn’t given up. She has started a small business after completing her livelihood training with DEAL Foundation.
