New group formation:
During the month 80 members formed 8 self-help groups which included 40 persons with disabilities and 40 women at Mundargi, Shirahatti and Gadag taluks.
Group bank account opening:
Group bank accounts were opened for 8 groups which included 50 persons with disability and 30 women at KCC and KVG Banks at Gadag, Shirahatti and Nargund taluks.
Disability awareness and financial literacy trainings:
During the month, financial literacy and disability awareness trainings were conducted at Mundargi, Shirahatti and Gadag taluks for a total of 150 group members.
Kitchen gardening and horticulture trainings:
Kitchen gardening and horticulture training was conducted for 46 disabled farmers at our horticulture training center at Mevundi village in Gadag district.
Baseline survey:
Baseline survey continued in Gadag district as part of our ‘Sustainable livelihood scale-up’ project in association with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).
