Fight stereotypes to stay happy

Everybody are fighting to get rid of the incorrect perceptions that the society has about different things and trying to help understand plain facts as they are and persons with disabilities are no exception to this.

Barriers to health for the disabled community

According to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 ‘Person with disability’ means a person with long term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairment which, in interaction with barriers, hinders his full and effective participation in society equally with others.

February 2022 Event Highlights

During the month we formed we formed two new groups, ‘Aadharstambha Self-Help Group’ and ‘Srinidhi Joint Liability Group’ in Mevundi village in Gadag district.

Good bone health for a good life

Our bones support us and allow us to move. They protect our brain, heart and other organs from injury. Our bones also store minerals such as calcium and phosphorous, which help keep our bones strong and release them into the body when we need them for other uses.
